For the past 6 years, Lindsay Fire Department has been deeply committed
to a Fire Safety program called "FIRE PUP" which specifically
targets children. We need your help to make this program a success. In cooperation
with our department, you will be providing fire safety education materials
for children, distributed in our schools, safety fairs, public safety presentations
and fire stations.
The materials have been exclusively design by the National Fire Safety
Council, a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt, and nonprofit organization. The only
way we can pay for these materials {under the charter for this organization}
is through charitable contributions rather than with department money. This
vital program will assist in teaching children fire safety and burn prevention.
We strongly believe that by making children AWARE, we can prevent
tragic loss and death. In order to help cover the cost Lindsay Fire Department
and the National Fire Safety Council are turning to you, the leaders of
this community. We ask that you consider sponsoring materials for the students
in our community.
